This change ensures that a wider range of regulatory announcements are captured and included in the feed. Previously, only consultations listed on the canada.ca/consult portal were tracked, but many regulatory comment periods publish directly to the Gazette instead. Each new entry now includes relevant details such as title, closing date for comments, issuing department, and summary of the proposed regulation. This update aims to provide more comprehensive coverage of federal regulatory announcements.
