PoliTraQ has expanded its coverage of municipal councils in Canada by adding five new cities, bringing first-time coverage to three provinces (Nova Scotia, Saskatchewan, and Yukon) and increasing coverage in four others. The newly added cities are Aurora (Ontario), Halifax (Nova Scotia), Quebec City (Quebec), Regina (Saskatchewan), and Surrey (British Columbia). This brings the total number of municipal councils tracked by PoliTraQ to 13 across seven provinces. Municipal council pages are refreshed monthly, separate from the daily federal and provincial data updates, to ensure that membership information remains fresh for relevance scoring purposes. The expanded coverage is now queryable in PoliTraQ via the existing jurisdiction filter on people pages without any additional configuration required.
