New features and exciting updates
PoliTraQ
Hello all, and welcome to another PoliTraQ Update!
Fresh off of our second ALPHA exhibition at Collision Conference, the PoliTraQ team is digging in for an exciting back half of 2024! We have a number of new features that will be rolling out in the coming weeks, and are excited to highlight one of those here today.
Building grassroots support is an important part of the government relations process. It shows government that there's broader support for your ask, and reinforces the potential impact of those decisions on a wider audience than just your organization.
In a recent opinion piece, Conservative Party leader Pierre Polievere encouraged corporate Canada to take their message to the voters directly - rather than to political leadership. According to Mr. Polievre, public buy-in, coupled with actual policy recommendations, will be crucial to influencing a future conservative government.
If you do have a policy proposal, don’t tell me about it. Convince Canadians that it’s good for them. Communicate your policy’s benefits directly to workers, consumers and retirees. When they start telling me about your ideas on the doorstep in Windsor, St. John’s, Trois-Rivières, and Port Alberni, then I’ll think about enacting it.
Suppose, for a second, that you've taken this message to heart. You've been out in the community; speaking with stakeholders and building support for your position or policy proposal. How do you effectively mobilize this network of support to amplify your message with key decision-makers? Petitions, letter-writing campaigns, social media outreach - these can all be effective techniques, but tracking participation can be a challenge.
That's why PoliTraQ is proud to roll-out our new Stakeholder Activations tool. With Stakeholder Activations, you'll be able to design, action, and monitor email and letter-writing campaigns, petitions, events, and more, to mobilize your base and make your voice heard. You'll identify the level of government you're seeking to engage, draft your messaging, and identify your core constituencies.
From there, PoliTraQ will create a public-facing campaign page, from which your stakeholders - by entering their address - be connected directly with their elected officials. They will be able to send a customizable or fixed (your preference) email to their elected officials right through the platform, which will tracked within PoliTraQ as a relevant Engagement.
Stakeholder Activations can also be used for petitions or event registry as well, and later this summer, you'll be able to send your activation launch details (with personalized participation links) to internal stakeholders within PoliTraQ.
Combined with our geotagging feature launched this spring, we anticipate this feature will grow to become a significant part of the way you interact with and mobilize your supporters.
