We know the advocacy world never sleeps. That's why, even though legislatures might be taking a break, the PoliTraQ team is hard at work developing new features to make your jobs easier and more effective.
Since our last update, we've focused on making PoliTraQ even more powerful and user-friendly, while providing deeper insights into the issues that matter most to you. Here's a quick look at what's new:
Simplified Input: We've streamlined our input forms for Files, Priorities/Clients, and Engagements. Now you can quickly add essential information and get back to what matters – advocating for your cause. Don't worry, all the detailed tracking options are still there when you need them!
Handwritten Note Parsing: Tired of deciphering meeting scribbles? Now you can simply snap a picture of your handwritten notes, and PoliTraQ will convert them to text within your Engagement records using the power of Google Vision API.
Two quick notes: First, Google Vision API is not geo-locked, meaning your data may be processed outside of Canada. If you are required to maintain strict data residency, please do not use this service until such time as we are able to offer a domestic solution.
Second, the Google Vision API is good, but it's not magic - your results may vary, especially if your handwriting is more challenging to parse. For best results, ensure that your notes follow a straight "left-to-right, top-to-bottom" format, as Google Vision will skim your document in this fashion. Pull boxes or side notes may not be parsed as expected. You will, of course, have an opportunity to review and edit the skimmed results prior to saving them to PoliTraQ.
Enhanced Metrics and Insights: We've introduced Specific and Comparative Impact scores for Files to help you prioritize your advocacy efforts based on potential impact. We've also enhanced Stakeholder tracking within Files and Engagements, allowing you to log interactions, assign follow-ups, and visualize your engagement activities.
TimeSheets Stopwatch: By popular demand, we've added a built-in stopwatch to TimeSheets! Just start the timer when you begin working on a client, and we'll automatically populate your billable time – it's that easy.
